We are Barbara and Greg Alexander and Marilyn Wissmer, the humans at the Walamara Dobermann Kennels.

When we acquired our first Dobermann in 1968, we had no idea that we were starting out on a life-long love affair with these wonderful creatures.

From the outset, Walamara Dobermann Kennels has been a family enterprise. All of our four children, plus a number of grandchildren, have been involved in our successes over the years.

We maintain a small number of our dogs at the kennels, and have several others placed out in homes. This gives us a good basis of breeding stock, and allows us to maintain the Walamara lines that have become so successful.

Barbara has always been the prime caregiver for our dogs, and as such manages most of the kennel and show activities.

Meantime, Ian was Chair/President of the National Dobermann Council of Australia and he also acted as an International Liaison for the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA), until the time of his death in February 2010
